Waimanalo

Our day was filled with a variety of activities.  We started by completing a landmark vs. landform scavenger hunt on the bus ride to Nalo Farms.  At the farm, we leanred about how the farmers take great pride in growing the best produce that they can in order to supply our local outlets.  We were able to taste vine ripened tomatoes, freshly grown lettuces, and other herbs that tantalized our pallates.  Afterwards we visited Green Row Farms and learned about how a new farmer goes about his chores in an effort to build his business.  We were then treated to a film by Bob Bates that emphasized the importance of protecting our farmlands here in Oahu.  As we headed back to school, some of us took quick naps. We finished out the day by watching the end of The Wizard of Oz.  I think we would all agree, "There's no place like home!"
